The 301st recipient is Shae McCoy of Strength to Love II Farm @strengthtolovefarm in Baltimore, MD. Shae writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Having peace - being an urban farmer we deal with a lot of stressors and elements of the environment such as theft, vandalism and crime. In order to deal with these things we have to internally be well.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I may go to get group acupuncture - it helps me release any built up trauma or emotions.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “Good mental health. If mental health is good, everything else can be worked on.”
