Our 91st Real Farmer Care recipient is Kiley Clark of Fresh to Farming @freshtofarming.
Kiley writes, “I’m Kiley Clark - a queer farmer, food advocate, chef, writer and photographer. I was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. I started @freshtofarming when I moved to a little town in Northern California and studied Sustainable Agriculture. I come from a long line of farmers and earth workers, a legacy I am very proud of. I document farms and the lives of farmers through my writing and photography. In 2019, I visited over 30 farms in five states. I am currently searching for land to start my own farm while writing and researching the challenges facing new and aspiring farmers, especially black farmers. This year may have slowed down my plans for a Farm Tour but I’m still looking for new places to visit and people to grow community with.” . Follow Kiley’s work @freshtofarming, support and donate via Venmo @ KileyClark, and listen to Kiley’s voice today, and every day. . #freshtofarming #blackfarmersmatter #queerfarmers #blacklivesmatter #supportingblackbusinesses #listeningtoblackfarmers #communitycare #realfarmercare
