The 353rd recipient is Dorian Campbell of Otter Paw Herbs @otterpawherbs in Portland, OR. Dorian writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care and well being mean being able to take care of myself in all the ways. Taking intentional care of my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self. It also means being in a place where I am able to be present enough to be aware of what my needs are to take care of them.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would use the award to go for a longer than usual soak at a local soaking tub and buy a nutritious and satisfying meal for myself.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “Taking care of my physical and mental state contributes to my well being. I need my body to have some extra care because it is under constant demand as a farmer. Taking extra care of my body allows me to do more. Being in a clear and grounded mental space allows me to keep myself safe, problem solve quickly and be focused on my business.”
